Division Overview

Capital in essential assets

The Infrastructure Investment division applies a long-duration thesis to essential physical assets — infrastructure whose productivity and value compound over decades, is difficult to replicate, and is anchored by structural economic demand that is insensitive to short-term market cycles.

The division's current focus spans renewable energy infrastructure, agro-processing facilities, and specialty agricultural land — including a multi-generational plantation estate in Hassan District, Karnataka, a legacy asset being developed across specialty coffee cultivation, carbon sequestration credits, and rural agro-tourism.

Kushavara Estate
Hassan District, Karnataka

A multi-generational plantation estate in Belur Taluk, Hassan District — a region in the Western Ghats known for high-altitude Arabica cultivation. The estate is being developed across three value streams: specialty coffee production and direct export, voluntary carbon market credits through reforestation and forest conservation, and boutique agro-tourism leveraging the Hoysala cultural heritage landscape.

Investment Focus

Four vectors of physical capital

Energy Infrastructure

Equity participation in renewable energy generation, distribution, and storage assets. Focus on solar and wind projects eligible under government capacity auction frameworks, and off-grid distributed energy solutions for industrial consumers.

Agro-Processing

Investment in post-harvest value addition and processing infrastructure — wet mills, dry mills, cold storage, and grading facilities — that increase the realisable value of agricultural output and provide consistent processing margins.

Specialty Agriculture

Long-duration cultivation of high-value export crops — with emphasis on specialty coffee (Arabica, single-origin) in Karnataka's Western Ghats — targeting direct trade export channels, café partnerships, and green bean export premiums.

Carbon & Sustainability

Voluntary carbon market participation through reforestation, agroforestry, and avoided deforestation projects on Group-held land. Carbon credit generation under Verra and Gold Standard frameworks for institutional and corporate buyers.
